July 9, 2009 .. n3k is pleased to announce that runIP™ version 2.3 - the latest version of its Managed DNS & DHCP Appliance solution is now generally available.

runIP™ version 2.3 offers a large number of new features and enhancements including:

• DHCP probe: runIP now features a DHCP probe making runIP the only DNS & DHCP appliance with integrated application-level monitoring of the DNS & DHCP services.
• VMware support: runIP introduces VMware support making it the only appliance solution for VitalQIP that is also available as a virtual appliance.
• More flexible network configuration: any number of logical IP addresses can be configured per interface. Limitations in setting up static routes have been removed.
• Network teaming: Network Interface Cards may now be teamed for additional resilience.
• Improved remote management: runIP Appliances can now be re-initialized remotely without any on-site staff required and without the need to configure the remote management card.
• Monitoring enhancements: runIP™ version 2.3 offers additional monitoring tests and introduces monitoring of the central management stations.
• SQUID HTTP Proxy support: In addition to DNS & DHCP, customers can now run HTTP proxy services on runIP™ appliances.
